“ This is a super late review as we came here for the first time a month ago. I am so glad that we found this place! My husband and I love ramen and we weren't disappointed with this one. I ordered the Spicy Tonkatsu and I devoured the whole bowl! Very flavorful broth and the spice was a little mild for my taste (I love spicy) but I enjoyed it nonetheless! My husband ordered the Shoyu Chicken ramen and he devoured his bowl too! The service was quick and the dining room is clean and bright. I would go back here and try their other food items. ”

“ We tried this local Ramen spot on a Saturday evening. When we arrived, we got sat at a table right away. Everything we ordered was very delicious and the service was friendly and on point. We ordered the Cucumber Salad, Spicy Garlic Edamame, Gyoza with pork, Salmon Nigiri, Spicy Miso Tonkotsu, and Shoyu Chicken Ramen. If you are craving some delicious Ramen I recommend this spot! They've got everything from sushi to ramen, but the real star of the show here is their hibachi steak! it's delicious! I ordered the hibachi steak (medium rare), and it came as a complete meal: fried rice, noodles, soup, and salad. The portions are incredibly generous--this meal could easily feed more than one person. And let's talk about the flavor: it's perfectly cooked and packed with that hibachi goodness. Check out the photos, but honestly, they don't even do it justice. The service here is also top-notch. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food comes out fast and fresh every time. I've even ordered the hibachi steak to go during their lunch special, and it was just as massive and satisfying as dining in. Aside from the hibachi, their ramen and sushi dishes are also excellent. Everything I've tried here has been consistently delicious, making this a go-to spot for comfort food that really hits the spot. If you're looking for flavorful, filling meals and great service, Okama is the place to be. Highly recommend! ”

“ Friend ordered okama roll (inside: tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado; masago on top) and I ordered black tonkotsu garlic ramen but substituted chashu for chicken. Friendly service although it took time for the ramen to come out. The broth was on the subtle side in terms of taste. It was good but could have tasted more flavorful. Friend said the roll was alright - similar to rainbow roll without the crab. Ambiance was casual and family friendly. ”

“ I'm not sure why it took me so long to come here, we head a great meal with excellent service and the ramen and sushi were fresh and delicious. They were happy to work with my egg allergy and offered to make a substitution for fresh salmon instead of the spicy salmon because there may be contamination. ”

“ I can't tell you when this place opened. All I know is that I'm Glad it did! I've been to Japan a couple times and this place is really reminiscent of those camouflaged hole in the wall Ramen spots in Japan, except this place is a pretty well advertised spot with a small location feeling. There are 12 tables in total, but they are usually now always busy. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes for a table for 4. The service is pretty quick and accurate. The food is awesome! They have sushi, hibachi and Ramen. The flavor is great. I can't say it's the best I've ever had, but I can say it's pretty damn good for Eastlake/Chula Vista. The music selection is a big plus for me. I've heard Wu-Tang, Tupac, and various other 90's hip hop. They also have TV's setup and they have games or anything you might ask for. The staff is usually the same 3-4 people, but those people keep this place running smoothly and efficiently! We love coming here and I think you will too. ”

“ My friend and I came here for dinner on Saturday evening. We were seated right away. The business looked steady and not packed inside. We opted for a few sushi rolls. We ordered the Las Vegas, Crunchy roll, Stinky roll, and shrimp avocado roll. The shrimp avocado was okay, nothing special as their Signature Rolls. I'm a fan of crunchy foods so other three were tasty. Service was good. I look forward to coming back to try their ramen next time. ”

“ 5 stars for overall ramen experience in Chula Vista. I love how this place has sushi, hibachi AND ramen options. There's a dish for everyone! I ordered the spicy miso with no bean sprouts and replaced the pork with shrimp tempura. I'm personally not a big fan of pork. I love how the spicy miso has a nice kick too it and it's not too spicy! My husband got the spicy chicken ramen. He pretty much inhaled it lol. The broth is flavorful and the toppings added texture. We share the Las Vegas roll too. It was super tasty and spicy. Our daughter enjoyed the chicken kids hibachi plate! It came with sauce and soup. We were most impressed with the service here. We were seated immediately on a cold Saturday evening. The restaurant was quite packed because of the cold weather. Once our order was taken, our food came out in less than 10 minutes! We were pleasantly surprised and loved this since we have a toddler. The employees were very attentive throughout our dinner; making sure we always had drinks and everything was going smoothly. We're excited to come back and support this restaurant! I'm looking forward to trying the steak ramen next time. ”
